Summary
This qualification provides students with legal entry, comprehensive knowledge and confidence to work with young children in the early childhood sector. Students will be exposed to both classroom and workplace training, ensuring you will gain the skills to have a rewarding career within this field. Upon completion of all relevant units of competency, students will be granted a Nationally Recognised Qualification (under the Australian Qualifications Framework – AQF) and a certificate will be issued.
Structure
Classroom and Workplace Based: This is a 17-month qualification, taught in either a class-based or workplace-based environment. Class-based students will be required to attend class 2 days per week (9am – 3pm) along with self-paced independent learning time, whereas workplace-based students will be required to complete their assessments while on the job. The qualification is comprised of competency-based training and assessment. Students will be required to log a minimum of 160 hours experience within a regulated education and care service, with EIM Training securing the vocational placement.
Support
Students will be provided with resources, assessment tools, organisation policies and procedures and reference resources. For class-based students, trainers are available for one-on-one mentoring if required. For workplace-based students, trainers will come to visit the student for monthly training and assessment meetings, with additional one-on-one mentoring by appointment if required.
Eligibility
Students must have appropriate AQF level language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Students must have passed equivalent Australian Year 11 qualifications, and hold an overall IELTS 6.0 average, or equivalent language level.

Delivery
This is a 52-week qualification, taught in-class with additional vocational placement. Students will be required to attend class 2 days per week (9am – 3pm) along with self-paced independent learning time. The qualification is comprised of competency-based training and assessment – no exams!
Placement
Students will be required to log a minimum of 160 hours of vocational placement, with EIM International securing this placement on the students behalf.
